As Alive Keynote speaker Sarah Kathleen Peck says:

“The deeper purpose of the Alive in Berlin conference and why we’re here in general is to connect, both to our own truth internally so we can understand who we are – and also to each other.

It’s events like Alive in Berlin that enable us to start mapping out networks and know that there are people in the arena that we can talk to, who have had similar experiences to us, and who we can rely on as mentors and advocates and resources and contacts.”

The conference offers a unique opportunity for Europeans to connect with both world-class and less known speakers and each other whilst saving on the significant cost of travelling to similar events in the United States. For those outside of Europe it’s the perfect opportunity to combine travel and personal development.

Quote from one of our early bird attendees – CAROLINA, LONDON, UK, FREELANCE COPYWRITER AT CAROLINABAKER.COM:

“I’m coming to ALIVE in Berlin for many reasons. I’m coming to connect and bond with like-minded people who believe the kind of life I want is possible and attainable. I’m looking forward to being inspired by the speakers, the attendees and the organisers. And I also want more practical ideas as to how I can feel more Alive in every area of my life. Excitingly, I’m also bringing my one and a half month old along for the ride, to celebrate the beginning of her/his life by showing up to mine.”

Alive in Berlin is the brainchild of Schwerinerin but UK resident Jana Schuberth of Alive Events Europe Ltd, and LoveWorkNow, a thriving global coaching practice helping people achieve what they want out of life and their careers. After travelling to the US to attend mastermind group events and conferences like Chris Guillebeau’s World Domination Summit (WDS), Jana realised that Europe needed a similar movement. On 31st May 2011 she put out a call for Europeans to join her in creating a similar conference with the aim of changing the face of personal and business development in Europe, planting the seed for what would become Alive in Berlin three years later.

In Jana’s own words: “If I have learnt anything over the past few years it’s that who you surround yourself with matters immensely! When I first had the idea for Alive in 2011 during a mastermind meet up over in Arizona, I was surrounded by amazing people who are making stuff happen in their lives. Role models that pulled me up and held me to a higher standard, and had my back when I put myself out there courageously. But I couldn’t help but be fearful of returning back to the UK, knowing that I didn’t have such an amazing peer group in my little village in England in order to keep up the momentum! That’s why I created Alive – so that we could create our own global gathering here in Europe.”
